Prior to joining the firm, Ms Ip spent six years in a similar capacity with American International Assurance Limited. THE Hong Kong Institute of Personnel Management has appointed Richard Lam as project manager.

He will be responsible for developing and co-ordinating major projects, in particular the 1996 World Congress on Personnel Management, the institute's annual conference, and the activities of the institute's Asia Pacific group.

He was previously fund-raising co-ordinator for Oxfam Hong Kong. ROTHSCHILD Asset Management (Singapore) Limited has appointed Jill Smith as the senior fund manager for Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia.

Ms Smith will also assume responsibility for servicing Rothschild Asset Management's private clients in the Asian region.

NATIONAL Mutual Insurance Co Ltd has appointed Steve Hui as general manager of finance.

He has 19 years' experience in the finance industry and public services.

He has been with the National Mutual Group for 11 years.

In his new capacity in Hong Kong, Mr Hui will be responsible for management, statutory and investment accounting, auditing, financial control, taxation and planning. DANIEL Lam has been promoted to area manager of northeast Asia of London International Group, which manufactures consumer products such as Marigold gloves.

He has over 18 years' experience in marketing in Hong Kong, Taiwan and China.

CAMPBELL Soup Company has appointed a new management team for its businesses in Asia and Australia.

David Wells has been named regional vice-president and group managing director for the Asia Pacific.

Mark McCallum has been appointed managing director for Campbell Asia, while Michael O'Brien becomes managing director for Campbell mushrooms' division.

Mr Wells, 36, will be relocating from Hong Kong to Melbourne.

Mr McCallum, 39, will relocate from Melbourne to Hong Kong and be responsible for business in Southeast Asia.

HOLIDAY Inn Worldwide has made Steven Parker vice-president of strategic planning.

Mr Parker joins the Asia Pacific division from the company's Europe-Middle East-Africa region where he was director of strategic development.
